Can anyone confirm this?
The list will be in signal order with some exceptions:
1. Your home operator will always appear at the top of the list (if
available).
2. If you are abroad then the preferred networks saved on your SIM
will be above the others. e.g. If you're in France with a Vodafone
SIM, the "SFR" network will always be at the top as Vodafone have it
saved as a preferred network on the SIM. You can view this preferred
list in most manufacturers handsets, except Nokia's - annoyingly!
What I'm not sure about is whether the order is based on 3G or 2G.
For example, if Vodafone had 1 bar 3G but full bars 2G would that come
after Orange who had 2 bars 3G and 3 bars 2G?? In SonyEricsson phones
the 2G and 3G networks are listed separately which makes it
distinguishable.
Forgot to say - I know the 6230 isn't a 3G phone but was curious if
anyone did know what happens on 3G phones.
Many thanks, as you say my own operator is always at the top of the list.
It has given me an insight to which operator I should be going for.
