According to the limited spec in the 3 Christmas guide S2 has HSDPA and
3.2MP camera while new S2x does not have HSDPA and has only 2MP camera,
otherwise all the ticks are the same.
I am annoyed with myself that I cannot find justification why I should pay
69.99 for seemingly inferior S2x opposed to 39.99 for S2. Could someone
help me here?
A supplementary question: Which out of those sub 70 phones [PAYG] is
easiest and best to use, particularly with Skype?

Best regards
divoch

Not seen a S2x yet, that spec is shocking

Reading up on the S2x it's not a replacement for the S2 only a smaller
parallel version, apart from it's slightly smaller size and bigger memory
it seems pointless

4Gb MicroSD cards for the S2 can be bought for under a tenner,
more than enough for any use

Hmm - I have been informed that the S2 doesn't have any extra memory
cards - leastways none come provided with a new unit. CJB.

The S2 has a Micro SD slot next to the Sim which can handle up to
4Gb Micro SD cards, which you can get for as little 6quid theses days

Yes, mine's certainly got one. I haven't quite worked out what they're
*for*. Can someone please enlighten me about what I might use this memory
for if I were to buy a micro SD card?

As a 3Mp camera uses around half a meg per jpeg pic, a 4Gb SD card will
give you storage for around 8000 pics, or maybe a couple of hours of video.

Or probably your entire music collection on Mp3

Well, whatever grabs you, I suppose. But I've got a half-way decent camera
for taking photos, and prefer to play music on a hi-fi system rather than a
phone! If I do take the occasional photo on the phone for convenience, I'm
sure that the internal memory will be adequate for the purpose.

But do you carry your camera with you and have it as available as your
phone?

One day you may curse not having spent 5 to 10quid to be able to
record several mins of video of an incident

I'm actually just as likely to have the camera as the phone. I'm not really
a mobile phone user, and only carry one when I have a particular need - and
even then, don't keep it turned on unless I'm expecting a call. I acquired
the S2 mainly to use as a mobile BB modem - but that's another story, 'cos I
haven't yet succeeded in making it work reliably on my laptop without
crashing with a BSOD - even though it works perfectly on my desktop PC which
has a very similar setup!

Have you any diagnostic software like Norton Win doctor,
or Registry mechanic, etc?

A large number of faults are down to registry errors or files missing.

I like Norton Win doctor which i run from it's CD without installing
