Calling International freefone numbers on Vodafone

Well I finally managed to persuade Vodafone to update their routing
equipment on Sep 1st to fix the bug that means you can't call any
international freefone numbers e.g 00800 or +800 numbers on their network.
I guess as far as charging goes they will be charged the same as UK 0800
numbers i.e standard rates. But at least it makes International freefone
more universal now you will be able to call them via at least one of the UK
mobile networks!

Any Cellnet subscribers going to persuade Cellnet to allow these numbers to
be called too? Currently Cellnet don't support them either!

For me its really a point of principal - +800 numbers should be available
from every telephone network other wise there is little point in having
them!

Bearing in mind that it is the owner of the 0800 number
who has to pay the call charges it is really a matter of
whether or not the owners of such numbers can be persuaded
to pay the connection charges levied by other networks.
SOMEONE has to pay for the call!
