vpn and conexant adsl router

Hello,
I need to connect to a remote vpn from my pc, which is connected to a
conexant hasbani 4 port adsl router.
I've setup a DMZ to the internal private ip on my pc.
When I try connecting to the rempte vpn, i get authenticated correctly, but
then I can't ping any of the machines on the remote network.
Can anyone help me please?

I take it your using windows2000 server as the VPN server? or is it some
third party software?

If so and your making the server the DHCP server, make sure its assigning
the correct DNS settings and IP settings, can you connect to a pc via >run,
ie \\computername ??

you dont need to use DMZ with vpn, just open the required ports for VPN, I
forget which ones they are but a simple google will tell you.
