You are aware that you need 100 business sign-ups, or around 250 home
sign-ups?
So where does it say this on the Tele2 website?
Andrew Pick
Not seen that myself either, its not on the Broadband4U site that I can see.
Though I must say when I was speaking to Tele2 before this champions scheme
came in to play (I was going to be a sales agent and earn some money at the
same time :) ) they did mention it on the phone that it was 100 business
customers or 200 home customers (or a combination of those)
I have emailed tele2 to confirm the numbers they require and I will post up
the reply here when it comes through. Also asked them how about a "league
table" so that we can see how different areas are doing, a newsgroup/web
bulletin board so that we can get together with others on the scheme and
discuss (as I only really see 2 or 3 people on here who are participating
out of the 100+ registered areas) and finally a map of some sort so we could
see if anyone else has signed up as a champion within 15km radius of others
and then work together.
Don't know if they will go for it though, but would hope they would as there
seems to be little other reason to do the Broadband challenge except for the
fact that I want Broadband...

Not sure it does, and I can't be bothered to check, but I've spoken to them
directly on more than one occasion. Have you?
I was actually told a mixture of the two would be fine, but no numbers on
it. This leaves it wide open to their own decisions.
It is fairly widely known that the 100 customers deal was always related to
business customers. Did you miss that?
Oh, and the other thing: it says 15km on the web site, right? I've heard
that TELE2 installation engineers are not generally installing people over
10km at the moment.

And this is one of the problems. Given that a requirement is for some
business customers, it means that people need to go and actually visit the
businesses and demonstrate the case for TELE2. Unless you are a reseller
this is going to be bloody hard for most people.
Well that changes things a bit..I was told I was just outside of the range
of Bath transmitter by about 500metres (I live 15.5km from it).
It does though have an upside, the smaller the area, the less users active
at one time, so the higher the bandwidth/contention on the attena

I got my numbers wrong, sadly. However, it *is* just a rumour.
