whateve...@whatsisname.btinternet.co.uk should already work and
emails will go to his exisitng account

Your friend can also have extra email addresses in the format:

whatevere...@btinternet.com

by going to https://register.btinternet.com/selfhelp/chkmboxpwd.html and
creating a new email address account.

Sunil

You can manage it from http://mail.btinternet.com

You can have anything you like, say, anythin...@btopenworld.com -
note that anythin...@btinternet.com is the same - and up to 10
email addresses.

Unlike other ISP's BTOpenworld provides totally separate POP accounts.

If from the BTOpenworld home page ( http://www.btopenworld.com/default/ ) you click on "Sign In"

Enter your name and password and login

once signed in click on "MyAccount"

On the Right hand side you will see a link "Add Mailbox"

you will then see a dialogue box for your new email address and password.

You will have to set up a new account in outlook express.

The details are exactly the same as your existing account but with the new account name and password.

i.e POP3&SMTP mail.btopenworld.com

Hope this helps
