To view them go to http://www.btopenworld.com and click on "Order" and
follow the dialogues until you are being asked to Agree to the T&Cs
.....
"Minimum Period of Service" means the first 12 months
of the Service beginning on the Operational Service Date
or such other period as may be set out in the Charges List.
"Operational Service Date" means the date when the Service
is activated and is available for you to use at the Premises.
.....
2. COMMENCEMENT OF THIS CONTRACT
This Contract starts on the day when BT accepts your
registration for Service, following completion of the Registration Process
I assume that the contract can be canceld within 30days of it being
processed/approved...
In the case of BT - the date on the letter, that the person will receive in
the post stating that the "order has been processed".
Counting 30 days from that date - one should be able to cancel the contract
without penalty.
On the other hand I would have thought that the "Consumer Laws" would
require that the contract could only start ones the "Operational Service
Date" has been reached, meaning ones the user is able to make her/himself a
picture of the quality of this service.
Any one have an insight on this?
The reason I am so concerned is that I am worried about paying £40 a month
for a 56K modem speed connection which might be going up and down like a
JoJo...
Regards
The SUMMONER
Whats this 30 days stuff ? I did not see that in what you quoted from
the
contract ?
