So, how do I disable them?
Thanks in advance,
Al
'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Conexant\AccessRunner
ADSL\Connectoids\0000' controls the 'AccessRunner DSL' dialup
connection. The key to change is 'ShortcutLocations' with initial
value 18 - changing the value to 8 stops the shortcut being generated
on the desktop so I guess that changing it to 0 would stop it being
generated in the Start Menu folder as well.
Similarly you can change the values of all the xxxxShortcutLocation
keys under 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Conexant\AccessRunner
ADSL\Shortcuts'. These control the location of the 'AccessRunner
Control Panel' shortcut (initial value 18) and all the other shortcuts
eg. help, uninstall, etc. (initial values 8).

Thanks Ian,
I've modded the registry and will post back if they show their stinkin'
faces again... :-)
Cheers,
Al
Just to confirm that the reg hacks worked, there are no signs of the
shortcuts showing up in the start menu or desktop.
One final request (Ian?), I renamed the DUN icon from "AccessRunner DSL" to
"Pipex ADSL" (Because I want to, dammit!).
Now, a new AccessRunner icon shows up along side the renamed icon. Any
chance of someone telling me where the registry key for it is? and what I
need to change the value to?
Many thanks,
Al
