Telewest Broadband

We havent got telewest cable tv, but we did have it a few years ago so
we do have the cables going into our house. Anyway i would like to
know if i wanted to get telewest broadband do i have to have one of
their other services in order to use a cable modem. Also does anyone
have it and if so how quickly is it installed, sorry if i have posted
to the wrong group

You can have just cable broadband (512Kbs) but it will be £33 per
month. However, if you take up another TW service, the cost goes
down to £25 per month. 1Mbs is £35 with another TW service, not sure
how much without. (probably £43)

Actually no, it's 29.99 per month if you don't take their TV (or 39.99 pm
for 1 Mb). The lead time for installation when I signed up was about 2
weeks.

I have 1mB access. It is very good. Blueyonder does have a habit of 'going
down' with 36 hour priority recovery times. This can be abit annoying. But
if you forgive them this problem, all else is great.
