I know that the raw BT Broadband service doesn't provide the classic
services such as e-mail.

If soomeone uses the service I can't see any problem pulling in POP3
e-mail. But how about sending mail? Which outgoing servers can I
use?

Register your own domain name and use someone like
http://www.gradwell.com/ ? Their control panel gives you loads of bells
and whistles without you having to learn how to securely set up your
mail servers.

Yep - contacted them and it seems that they do have a suitable
service. The service they have referred me to is here:-

Thanks for the suggestion.

Claranet are planning their own SMTP service for sending, if it isn't
already in place (I can't test it easily from here, as one thing they
didn't offer during their trials was a port other than 25, which from
my connection is "grabbed" by Freeserve). runbox.com also has a web/
SMTP / POP (100 MB max) service for $30/year, and does offer another
port for you to send outgoing mail. Peter M.

Try NetIdentity for pop3, smtp and webmail services.
