wifi at gatwick airport??

I have found a list of wifi available at Gatwick south terminal but I see no
pricing options.

Does anyone know if there are any free wifi spots in Gatwick south please?

*MOST* unlikely! Airports give a choice of "The Cloud", T-Mobile, BTOpenZone
etc. and why would anyone use these if a free HotSpot was available?

I don't believe there is, not even in the business lounges. I flew back
from a business trip to Miami a while back, and the business lounge
there had completely free high speed access. Another example of rip off
Britain?

Business class usually costs a hell of a lot more than your usual
standard / economy class. Free wifi would be expected the business
lounge at any major airport.

Well with the price difference I doubt it is free anyway, just bundled into

I might be mistaken but I think Boston Logan has free WiFi throughout
the airport, or at least in the British Airways terminal where I was.

Yeas, I was at the British Airways departure lounge in Miami, where it
was free, but I've little doubt I needn't have been in the lounge to
access it.

Well you did ask about *free* WiFi hotspots!

The best pay provider for airports that I have used has been The Cloud
(www.thecloud.net) - who are at BOTH Gatwick North and South - they have
an option of 30 minutes (of online time) for £2.99

This has seemed (to me!) to have fitted nicely into the waiting time.

I managed to get free wifi at JFK in New York, although they also did
have T-Mobile as well as other paid providers.

Not sure if the network I used was intended for public use or if it
belonged to one of the offices there and they had forgotten to secure
it, but it worked!

Who's your ISP? Most airports have BT OpenZOne so you just log in using
your normal login details vie the portal. Look at your ISP's pricing,
typically though it's around £8 for 2 hours although this normally has
to be used within a certain time frame.

I was last at Logan in January (same terminal), and there was no free
wifi then. Maybe in the business lounges.
