Instead of pushing a ready-made patch cable through the wall, why not
do the job properly, and drill through a mortar seam put the cable
through, and fit a surface mount RJ45 socket on the inside. No grommet
necessary.
If that's too unsightly, crimp a plug on the end of the cable if you
must, but remember that normal RJ45 plugs are unsutable for solid
cored cable. You could always cut the plugs off the patch lead you
intended to use, and crimp new ones on later.
Most of the time Sky installers use grommets to hide the damage they
do to the brickwork when they drill out from the inside.
