Has anyone ever heard (and know where to buy) "Grommets" that open and
close, i mean something like the following link
https://www.stifirestop.com/products/ez-firestop-grommet/
it does NOT have to be fireproof. The reason I’m after something like
this is I’m having an install done soon that will mean a hole will have
to be drilled through my wall and an Ethernet (with RJ45 plug on) cable
will be passed through the hole.
Now all i can find are the usual grommets that sky and other TV
engineers use and i was wondering if anyone in here has heard of what
I’m after, or failing that suggest one that can be placed in the oven
warmed up so i can push something through to make the hole wide enough
to take the RJ45 plug.

TIA

There might be split bushes available in the plumbing world made for
the smaller sizes of pipe, possibly letting you make a smaller hole.

If you're only sealing it enough to stop the odd insect/spider getting
through then push some shredded foam polystyrene or plastic scourer
cut into strips into gap surrounding the cable and seal the ends with
any of various materials (e.g. a bit of plasticene or a small bit of
Polyfilla that can be neatly levelled off but remains easily removable
with a small screwdriver).

Instead of pushing a ready-made patch cable through the wall, why not
do the job properly, and drill through a mortar seam put the cable
through, and fit a surface mount RJ45 socket on the inside. No grommet
necessary.
If that's too unsightly, crimp a plug on the end of the cable if you
must, but remember that normal RJ45 plugs are unsutable for solid
cored cable. You could always cut the plugs off the patch lead you
intended to use, and crimp new ones on later.

Most of the time Sky installers use grommets to hide the damage they
do to the brickwork when they drill out from the inside.
