There are two visible controls. One control has a sun and a moon
symbol at either end of the scale; the other control has 'Min - 1 - 5
- 10 - 16' marked on the scale; there is a symbol next to this second
control that may indicate 'elapsed time'.
The controls are currently set to 'moon' on the first control and to
'min' on the second control. The lights come on when it gets dark, but
they stay on until well after dawn; I'd really like them to switch off
as soon as it starts getting light. I'd also like to know if there is
a way of disabling the sensor altogether, so that it doesn't switch
the lights on at all.
All ideas (and/or instructions) gratefully received! Thanks, Steve
Busch-Wächter are I believe a German Company and can be found by using
www.google.com/advanced search and inserting the name Busch-Wächter in an
exact match.
Had a quick look but unfortunately there was little of interest to me. Is
it possible that your house was occupied by a serviceman who brought the it
back to the U.K.

No, he was a professional electrician, but unfortunately I don't have
a forwarding address for him. He did a lot of good wiring circuits for
the outside of the house, but I forgot to get the details for the
Busch-Wächter unit! Steve
have a look at http://www.busch-jaeger.de/. There you will find a manuall
about it.
