Here's a weird one - I bought a PVR 900T a couple of weeks ago (and have
since installed the latest software download).

It mostly works fine, but I've got a problem with recordings of BBC3 - the
recordings often stutter and skip (either the picture carries on with
nothing but short blips of sound, or sometimes jumps forwards several
seconds at a time). The odd thing is that this only occurs on BBC3 -
specifically the Family Guy programs that generally are run between 22:00
and midnight. I haven't had much time to experiment - so it not clear if the
problem is linked to BBC3 or Family Guy, but either way its annoying.

I've got a reported signal strength of 81%, signal quality of 100% so I
don't think that's the cause of the problem. (I'm on Mendip transmitter by
the way).

By contrast, I recorded the Star Trek movie on C4 at the weekend - without a
single stutter so its not a generic issue with the box, disk format or my
aerial. I've also recorded a lot of C5 without any problems either.

Any ideas what else I can try - thanks in advance for any help you can
offer.

I have noticed a few little problems the last few days. this evening I
was flicking through and the =1 version of the Lenny Henry show had
picture breakup and all sorts of problems. there do seem to have been
a few little glitches, but I tend to record family guy on sky+ just as
it seems to be better quality.

Thanks for the suggestions - I'll give them a try when I get a chance.

NB - Yesterday it was suggested that I could record Family Guy on Sky -
which I can do using my other (Sony) Hard Disk recorder. If I do this is
there a way to transfer the recording to the Humax's hard disk (as far as I
know, its input SCART port only passes through to the output SCART, its not
something that the Humax can record from).

I have just acquired a Humax 9150T and am experiencing precisely the same
problem - did you ever get to the bottom of it?

Mine stutters for up to a couple of minutes. I have noticed that if you
rewind to to the point just after the where the stutter begins that it will
play properly. Mine has signal strength of 78% and 100% quality. It does it
a lot with American Dad too and I have noticed it do it with non-cartoons on
other channels occasionally. Live TV is always perfect.

Alun.
