Sky "magic eye" technical question

I'm experiencing some problems involving magic eyes, most of the time
there's no problem but in some instances when I plugged the magic eye
into the back of a TV the sky remote in the second room doesn't work
but If I unplug the magic eye or fit an attenuator between the magic
eye and TV it does, can someone please explain to me why this is?
