I recently started watching Ch71, a streamed part of the "That"s TV"
network. I've watched "That"s TV" on Ch7 for quite a time for the old
videos and comedy series (including Kenny Everett).

That's 60s is interesting as it has many original videos and films from
the 60s, some of which have not appeared elsewhere as those tapes were
wiped . A lot of the performances were shown in 1965 and 66 on the US
series "Hullabaloo", which has rarely been shown here (evidently quite a
few of the performances were made in the UK by Brian Epstein and sent to
the US). They are the 60s originals rather than later versions from the
80s, 90s and 00s. The quality varies tremendously; most are B/W and are
acceptable. Some of those in colour are quite appalling (such as The
Move doing "Flowers in the rain"). Anyway, it's worth a look if you
still enjoy 60s music, and are happy with a bit of nostalgia.

I've been watching in on satellite occasionally.

But the internet delivered Freeview version looks to be slightly higher
quality.

So how are they showing them then?

They are the tape-to-film (kinescope) versions of the Hullabaloo
recordings. Recordings of other performances have been wiped as the
tapes were used for other recordings.

He means those sourced in the normal way, those sent abroad were still
wherever they were sent. Due to these being analogue I recall the colour
ones were very pulsy and noisy with some serious smearing. I wondered if
they were standard converted. Not having seen them in the state they are
now, I cannot comment
Quite a few of the original British Made Muppet shows apparently had some
very strange colour issues in the states., even here you used to be able to
see colour streaking and drop outs on the old ATV logo.
