Brian
I am not familiar with the matsui box would suggest you investigate the
following as I learnt with roughly the same setup with the exception of my
new box was a Fusion FVRT150...
1. can you view on the TV without the scart cable connected. If not this
maybe due to the UHF only being a pass-through in which case there is no
way to resolve this.
2. If the UHF is not a pass-through, you will have to go into the setup of
the matsui box and obtain the frequency number to retune the wintv channel.
If the UHF is a pass-through only, you could set the scart to a video
machine like I did and use the video tuner to send to the computer.
Let me know how you get on.

Freeview box's don't work by creating seperate RF channels for each digital
channel. If you loop the RF through to the wintv card only one channel will
be carrying the selected Freeview programs, the rest are the normal analogue
broadcasts.
It is probable that the philips and matsui are using different RF channels
for the single channel used to braodcast the selected freeview channel.
You need to turn on the matsui and do a channel search using the wintv
software.
How do you connect the box to your WinTV card?
