Anyone got a swires "Terry" DTV Meter? If so, could you tell me the
specs on its PSU? I can't seem to find my power brick for it, and have a
multitude of potentially suitable spares if only I knew what it wanted
and the instructions don't say.

(I think it was either 9 or 12V)

John.

Try it on 9V and see if it charges. If it has the little jack socket
thing the tip will be +.

My guess is it will be 12V.

Why not ring Swires? I've always found them obliging.

Its power plug rather than a jack...

I expect you are right - its got a 7.8V battery inside IIRC.

In fact thinking about it, it came with a car power adaptor as well, so
its almost certainly 12V

Yup, I did drop them an email but did not get an answer. I will ring
them and see. (seems a daft thing not to include on the tech spec sheet).

I don't know about Swires stuff, but a lot of gear feeds the incoming DC
to an internal PSU/charger that will operate from a wide input voltage
range.

Hi John,

Mine is 12V 0.3A 3.6VA they call it type IMC 100
The plug inner is +tive.

Peeling their label off reveals it's actually a Stontronics
http://www.stontronics.co.uk/ T41-12-500D-4 rated at 500mA.
P/N T3543ST.

D.

Lovely, thanks for the confirmation.

Currently charging on a PSU donated by an old netgear router ;-)
(The original will probably turn up sooner or later!)
