I would like to contact the people at the Durris transmitter. Does
anyone know their telephone number, or how I can get it?

There is no one at the transmitter. I had a problem with my dtt box about 6
months ago and thought they were not tranmitting any DTT muxes from Durris.

I phoned Crown Castle and got a number for the control centre in mid
England. The guy at the control centre was pissed off at being contacted by
a member of the public. I was talking reasonably technically and was
pleasant, so he logged (telneted) into the Durris transmitter to confirm
what was being broadcast to its recipients in the Mearns and Aberdeenshire
from his control somewhere down south.

The problem was my box. I disconnected it and set it up again and all was
well.

Eddie who has lost the number for the control centre before you ask!!!!

Crown Castle owns and controls the entire BBC transmission network, contol
centre is at Warwick.

All ITV sites radio and TV are owned and controlled by NTL from Emley Moor
near Huddersfield. I used to work there.

To my knowledge there are no manned sites. Engineers go out on call from
their homes.

Both Crown Castle and NTL are American Owned

Harvey

Durris would probably come under either the Inverness or Forfar resource
centres. I contacted the Blackhill transmitter site recently by telephone
and was given the mobile number of the engineer who was working on site. He
was most surprised but very helpful.
