Hi there -

A couple of weeks back there was a thread about buying aerials, and
someone made a comment along the lines of "why buy a Maxview when
<supplier X> can supply <jolly good aerial> for only x". The post
included an url direct to the item, a wideband unit.

At the time I noted this idly, and even glanced at the site which was
mentioned, but I didn't bookmark it (oh what a fool am I....). Now,
with a new Daewoo receiver from Santa we suddenly find that we need a
new aerial, and I can't find it. I've tried my browser history w/o
success, so I can only hope that the O/P or another kind soul will
remind me? Please don't make me go to Argos....

The supplier was, IIRC, a quite basic & trad sounding UK firm with a
family name, and the web page was a simple affair in blue. Does all
of this hopefully ring enough bells for a regular to point me in the
right direction?

TIA!

Found it by old fashioned searching - Doctor D on 20/12 :
"You can get a Triax Unix 52 delivered to your door for £26 from
http://www.jwhardy.co.uk/pages/pl_ant_ter.html."

Phew!

Try also <http://www.cpc.co.uk>

They have around 60 aerials in the (online) catalogue

Do a quick search on the opening page for aerials and then select from
the list
Audio Video - Aerials - Outdoor Aerials

Don't forget the fixing hardware you may need when ordering a new aerial
