When it closed down, I went over to sky and he just put his box away
He recently tried putting his box back on to get the free to air channels
and found his box frozen on CBBeebies.
Thinking it was screwed, he asked to borrow my box and reports this is stuck
on BBC2
Any thoughts ?
Thanks in advance for any help

Reboot. Is it a Nokia? Mine sometimes crashes on BBC channels because of their
shitty "teletext" service as it can't handle the MHEG effect.
I wish I could turn off the MHEG for good.

If it is the MHEG5 on CBeebies that is causing the problem then try turning
it off by unplugging the mains. Remove the aerial then power it up again and
see if you have access to the menus. If you have menus then try selecting a
different channel or starting a re-scan before putting the aerial back in.

And to reiterate a previous post - change the batteries - I had the same
problems which, like that Dom guy, I thought were related to MHEG (he said
as if he knew what he was talking about), but, when it finally stuck on
ITV1, I eventually gave up and swapped batteries - it's absolutely fine on
all channels, with or with out fancy graphics.
