well as a Steeler supporter who went to Belfast and saw both games and
then back at Sheffield saw both games. In my opinion the league games
home and away Sheffield weren't that bothered really, the league had
nearly been won at the first event and had been won at the second event.
The players at the end of the first game in Belfast when they came to
acknowledge the crowd some looked sheepish. While back for the second
game players were rested and it was noticeable that Steelers only really
started to sweat in the 3rd period.
The Cup games were a different matter away from home the idea is damage
limitation and to either draw or loose by as few a goals as possible.
The home game was something which the home fans havent seen for a
couple of months - a team performing on top song by every member of the
squad- the netminder had a blinder and stoned Giants on a couple of
occasions. Also I would have to point the finger at Wilkinson over at
least 2 of the goals-they were very soft-elementary errors. I expected
Wilkinson to be pulled and Cavallin put in net.
