Does anybody know about any courses in this area where a party of 16 can
play on a sunday for 27 holes at a reasonable cost, I can't find any
availability in May?

How about Southerness? A truly great course and just off the main road
into Ayrshire. Availability I know not!

Work is a pastime for those who have not discovered the game of golf.

Have you tried Moffat Golf Club (my home course)
its an old scottish hilltop course designed by Ben Sayers at the turn of the
century . The course is interesting and has some fantastic views over the
town and surrounding hills
we do welcome visitors and there are some great catering / day ticket deals
for groups of golfers
The other good thing is that it is only about a mile off the M74 so easy to
get to on the way to or from the rest of Scotland. Many of my friends now
consider it a must stop place on their golfing trips.
Anyway enough of the sales pitch, especially since I'm not sure of the
availability of tee times in May
Call the clubmaster Bill Allison 01683 220020 and he will help you
maybe you could e mail me and let me know how it works out

Good Luck
