Just thought I'd post a few quotes made by John Gregory (taken from the
official Villa Website BEFORE the match) regarding last nights match against
Chelsea. I think these shed a little light on his team selection and hence
emphatic result for Chelsea.

"The Worthington Cup sits in fifth place in my opinion" (fifth??? - a
Gregory type Cloughism no doubt)

"We are sat at the top of the table at the moment so obviously I have got on
eye on Saturday's encounter at Stamford Bridge as opposed to tonight's
encounter"

"It's a competition we have got a big interest in but I have got players
here that have played 16-17 games within ten weeks and looking at the
programme ahead we have got another forty games to go, so when I get the
opportunity to rest players I normally take it and probably suffer the
consequences."

Well we'll see on Saturday if he has played a blinder or made a blunder!!!

I take your point Al, but the Worthington Cup provides european
qualification to the winner. So I still don't see what the other thing is.
