Yes, a very good run indeed. Although not mathematically safe on 42 points
(we've been relegated on that total before) I can't see it happening this
year, and I'd be surprised if 42 is our final tally.

I have to feel a little sympathy for Wigan, though. Playing pretty football
and not winning has an all too familiar ring to it -)

Yes. I really can't see why the media keep suggesting we're in a
relegation struggle. 10th or 11th place out of 20 is as mid-table as
it's possible to be! Our traditional position in fact.

Just wait till they sue us for beating them and causing their
relegation. ;-)

Yes, it'll undoubtedly be our fault that Tevez scored the winner for City
against them the other day. After all, if we hadn't 'illegally' enticed him
over here in the first place, he certainly wouldn't be playing in the EPL
now! We'll just have to hope the muppets aren't relegated after all :-)

Whatever happened to Sheffield United, by the way? They had all that money
off us, and got rid of Colin Wanker into the bargain, both of which must
have given them a huge advantage over their rivals, but they seem to have
faded into oblivion.

Perhaps they squandered the money. Just shows that money doesn't buy a
football team after all (ask Leeds ;-) ). May they stay in oblivion for
a long time.

They're still trading as a going concern, and look like having a place
in the playoffs, ie a 25% chance of promotion from "League One" (the
third division). Tonight they'll be playing at Crewe.

When Sheffield U took that money off us they seem to have taken our era
of three managers a year, gangster owners and financial instability with
it. We who laugh last...
