Congratulate them first of all. They have deserved it.

But...

If I were a Man U fan I would be worried that the best keeper in the world
is saying goodbye. He may well have pulled the plug. We are about to watch
their success slip away, beginning dramatically next season with an inferior
keeper. Poor keepers spread disease to the rest of the team, they are the
most important player in the team.

So, scum-haters, stop wasting your time hating them and let their demise
begin. What goes up must come down.

Good post, but I don't think any team rely on one man. Remember when Cantona
left? That was supposed to be MU finished! You can bet your last penny that
with MU's money and Fergusons gusto it won't be a crap goalie moving to Old
Trafford. Interesting point though but who knows whats going on behind the
scenes even as we speak. The same of course applies to Liverpool who won't
be sleeping between this season and the next.

I am not going to go out to the football court nearby and stand around
hearing some bloody Scum fan shouting his lungs out saying "We won the
treble" or whatever shit......while playing.I might have to take more
drastic actions and miss college for at least a week to get clear of the
gloating bastards.

It's a pitch not a court.

Like any true Liverpool fan... I'll always cheer for their oponents... It
was like flogging a dead horse with the Toons.... but teddy played well and
I think he deserved the win.
I'll be there cheering for the Krauts Bayern, but if United win it, I will
recognise that it is a great achievement, and you dont get there by luck
alone.
Having said that there will still be a load of snotty nosed United fans that
will really get up my nose.
One of my best friends is a long time Manc supporter, and I've had fun
putting shit on him in the 80s but the 90s have been in their favour. It is
one thing to adamately support your team, but we all love the game of
football and should recognise good teams...even if it is <spit> the Scum.

Cheers

I have heard a rumour going about the place that no goalkeeper, and no more
top drawer players will want to join a club that has just won everything.
Apparently, Van Der Sar has turned down a move to United stating that he
didn't want to have to live up to Schmeichel, and that he wanted a
challenge, because he'd already won countless championships with Ajax and a
European Cup.

I've being saying that for ages. Scmeichel earns/saves United at least
15 points each season. They will never be able to replace him. His
goalkeeping talent and his authority will never be matched. The guy
screams at anyone close no matter how wrong he is.

Ok, so the same was said of Cantona, but that's a different story. I
think a good keeper is harder to find than a good midfield player.
United were already strong in midfield when Cantona left. It's also a
good sign that Edwards has said that Fergi can't buy loads of new
players for next season. A good keeper won't come cheap. Bosnich,
Myhre or Van der Saar are nowhere close to Schmeichel...

He is going to be the biggest goalkeeping flop of all time in England. He
would be shit in the English game especially if he has our defence in front
of him. He has got away with it so far playing in Holland, in the CL and
the World Cup and that has somehow fooled everybody into thinking he is a
great goalie that would benefit Liverpool immensely. If he joins Liverpool
and we ever win anything it'll be despite him rather than because of him.

'ear 'ear.

But haven't you lot got it well taped?

Bit like those whizz kid financiers in the City already discounting the next
interest rate cut or rise, I'd suspect you're more than half expecting us to
win on Weds.

But if we do cock up big time-and my fear would be yet anotherEnglish (well
we've got a few Anglos) penalty defeat to the Bosch- then you've got us well
bang to rights and the community gloating can begin...

and no amount of "Well we still won the double- what did you win?" type bravado
will disguise the real feelings (of the real supporters rather than the part
timers)

Salford Tom

PS Useless fact. The only two Welshmen ever to win a European Cup winning
medals are both currently on the staff of the same club.

Does this mean if we do it we'll have to sell Giggsy to Wrexham?

Just pray that they take the old Munich nosedive again on the way home.
But this time I hope they all survive and are treated at a Spanish
hospital...and all given blood transfusions tainted by arse-bandits with
AIDS and pox and that.

Then they spend the next five years playing with their hair falling out,
their bones brittling and getting relegated to the Vauxhall Conference.
Then, just as a cure for AIDS is discovered, a rabid dog runs onto the
pitch and bites every single one of them. And they all die a slow
lingering death.

Then afterwards the Devil shoves red hot pokers up their arses for all
eternity. And they have to live in a pool of diarrhoea and listen to
looped albums by Olivia Newton-John. It's not too much to ask, is it?

We do have those in Singapore, my dear friend and yes! They are made of
cement!Actually the idea of a football court, roughly the size of a
basketball court came from Germany and has become quite popular!Maybe not in
England!
