Got to agree. There must be a manager, even an ex player that would do
better and show more determination to achive than Skovdahl has. Who would
be the ideal replacement to do the job though?

I seem to remember another manager, that was actually classed as a 'master
tactician', announce his resignation before christmas!! ;oP

Why I too think that Aberdeen can get a manager who can inspire them one
more and get some fire in their bellies and not only four times a year.
Who would you fancy as a replacement?

it would not surprise me if Jim Leishman was offered the job, and Davie Hay
the post at Livi.

Surely Steve Paterson is a shoe-in (whatever that means). Or, as
there seems to be a trend of Ayr United rejects resurfacing in the
SPL, why not Dalziel? That would be hilarious.

no surprise there your a Rangers fan , we see things differently winning
cups and leagues are your staple diet and if it doesnt happen your managers
fall by the sword our ambitions are slightly more realistic.

.the club has gone backwards under
> Skovdahl...

not so as someone who watched us under Alex Miller every week almost during
his year in charge weve improved quite a bit sure weve going through a bad
patch at the moment but this happens to all teams.

it has suffered numerous humiliations under him,

so have other clubs at the hands of the OF were no different in that
respect.

the players show
> little or no committment week after week,

i still wonder how they finished 4th last season.........

mediocrity is accepted as standard

maybe people are being realistic 3 or 4th is about the best we can acheive
maybe a cup run or two given the finacial constrainst the club is under
anything more would be a bonus. . What happened 20 yrs or so is irrelevant
today tho this still seems to be an issue with the media they seem to expect
things from Aberdeen that they dont from Hibs and Hearts , two clubs of a
comparable size.

> and a draw at home against Rangers is enough to fill the pubs on a
saturday
> night..

that was a bad result for us .

.there are at least half a dozen Scottish managers who would have

I doubt it when Ebbe took he was left with the mess of the Miller /Hegarty
regime hes sorted that out .

Ian Mcall is my pick but its looking like Pele and Shearer are favourites
tho whether AFC would be happy with the financial problems of Pele im not so
sure.

I'm taking it your talking of Paterson when saying Pele? I'd

I noticed Eric Black was also suggested, but then again, the
speculation will no doubt become very tiresome as the hunt for manager
goes on.

I thought it was impressive that Aberdeen were able to get Ebbe in the
first place and it would be interesting to see who might manage to get
now. There realliy is a limited choice of Scottish managers that I can
think of who would be suitable. If they are unable to get Mcall or
Paterson, who then? Gardner Spiers? I for one would be quite worried
if I was a fan.

Eric Black strikes as the establishment type of figure and Andy Roxburgh SFA
type .

Wattie Smith has never had a job where there is a shoestring budget. You have no clue
what his capabilities might be in that respect.

A little bird tells me that MON will be free at the end of the season.
He seems like the kind of manager that would do well at a provincial club.
