a few upsets this year; berkshire beat Middx, who recovered their honour somewhat by thrashing
herts soon after, bucks beat surrey, mainly cos these were essentially 2nd XIs and Lincoln just beat
Durham. Bedford nearly beat Northants, mainly due to Kettleburghs 192no, Derby flattened poor
shropshire, but i think their opener carried his bat for 69 out of a total 89ao. Norwell took 5-15 with 3
wkts in 4 balls to beat Cheshire; surely IF he doesnt get injured, he must be the next fast bowling option
to be tried by england. Worcs had a struggle to beat Hereford, yorks smashed 290 off 23 overs to beat
nhumberland in a rain shortened affair [ballance made 95 - wheres he been hiding i wonder?] and kent
made 431 against suffolk.

easy win for sussex but oxford were getting excited at 67-4. quite a few ladies in very short
skirts and big hats, and surprising number of ferraris and astons in the car park, not belonging
to me unfortunatly.
