Puts into perspective the £10 I paid to watch (uncovered, in glorious
sunshine) the 5th Day the Oval in 2005. Unbearable for the first 3 hours
and ultimately glorious. I recall a friend texting me when we were about
120/5 before Pietersen and Giles saved the game saying he felt sorry for me
being there!

The only time I have been to a test I watched the Aussies put on 300+
for about 3, could have been better ;o) At those prices it is
unlikely I will be going to a test next summer!

Pity as you never know it could be a close contest in the absence of "the
big two" bowlers.
India's latest spinner Mishra twirling away well today, a real tight corner
for Aus to get out of at close of play today. Sharma appears to have
Ponting's card marked in the past year...

Jeepers - he really does have his card marked. Should they lose it's
quite a bump down to earth. What a luxury McWarne was for them.

I think our goose is cooked in this Test. And not many changes I can
foresee. Oh well- it was great while it lasted.

Burnt to a cinder from the looks of it. India's top 5 runs victories:
320 runs v Australia Mohali 17 Oct 2008 Test # 1889
280 runs v South Africa Kanpur 8 Dec 1996 Test # 1344
279 runs v England Leeds 19 Jun 1986 Test # 1047
272 runs v New Zealand Auckland 7 Mar 1968 Test # 634
259 runs v Sri Lanka Ahmedabad 18 Dec 2005 Test # 1778

Weill done India, pity I wasn't able to watch the game ;-(
Totally outplayed Australia.

It's not often you can say that either, normally Aus get a foothold at
some point in games in recent years, but this was never the case here.
I'm sure Ponting and Lee's altercation will be in spotlight even
though it was a storm in a teacup.
