Are Irish cricketers mainly from Northern Ireland, the Irish Republic,
or a mixture?

Also, according to Cricinfo, Joyce has a pair of twin sisters who play
for Ireland: Isobel Mary Helen Cecilia and Cecelia Nora Isobel Mary.
Can anyone confirm that they use different spellings of "Cecilia"?

Tks.

Don't have a clue about the spellings. There must be 9 Joyces. Dom and
Gus played for Ireland as well.
Cricket in Ireland is divided into unions. Northern, Northwest,
Munster and Leinster. Northwest includes Donegal. Munster is Cork area
and Leinster is Dublin area. There is cricket in the west (Galway) but
not a whole pile of it.
As far as selection goes this is the U18S for 2010.

* George Dockrell (Leinster) (LCU)
* Jon Andrews (North County) (LCU)
* Callum Atkinson (Lisburn) (NCU)
* Jordan Coghlan (Clontarf) (LCU)
* Eoghan Conway (Rush) (LCU)
* Adam Coughlan (Malahide) (LCU)
* Robert Forrest (Clontarf) (LCU)
* Shane Getkate (Malahide) (LCU)
* Cameron Grieve (Lurgan) (NCU)
* Ryan Hunter (Donemana) (NWCU)
* Hugo Mays (Railway Union) (LCU)
* Andrew McBrine (Donemana) (NWCU)
* Graham McCarter (Killyclooney) (NWCU)
* Barry McCarthy (Pembroke) (LCU)
* Adam McDaid (Limavady) (NWCU)
* Simon Olphert (Eglinton) (NWCU)
* Sam Shannon (Instonians) (NCU)
* Jason van der Merwe (Muckamore) (NCU)

No Waringstown players on the list. Cameron Grieve from Lurgan is a
left arm spinner who went through the system at the same time as one
of my lads. The difference between them was batting rather than spin
bowling. Grieve must be selected as an all rounder because Dockrell is
a great left arm spinner only 17 and playing for the senior team at
the moment in the 20/20 qualifiers.
