I'm now in, with just one team - not three, even though the Telegraph
seemed flabbergasted that I did so.
Two of my choices are the two Surrey to Derbyshire emigrants: the WK
and Doshi.
I have Ramps, Langer and Tresco and surely there'll be a lot of runs
from those three!?
I'm still wondering whether it's worth going for the big names that
will get hatfuls, and then look for some value amongst the lower
"valued" players. Chris Jordan looks potentially good value for Surrey
for 3 points (West Indian quick bowler who average 24 at the tail end
of last season who knows which end of a bat to hold). I think Bresnan
is very good value for 5 points - he had a pretty good season with bat
and ball last year. 3-33 and 47* in their warm-up against Yorkshire
the other day.

Interesting to see who people are selecting. Most common selections:
Ramprakash - 51.7%
Key 32.7%
Mushtaq 30.3%
Gibson 30.2%
Denly 27.0%
Langer 26.2%
Ali (K) 26.5%
Mustard 26.2%
Bresnan 25.4%
Lungley 22.7%
Lungley an interesting one there in the list (although priced at 4
maybe people see him as good value - ditto Denly and Bresnan at 5).
Would have expected more interest for Trescothick - only 15% of people
picking him. Maybe most people are seeing him carry his stress-related
issues through into the county game.

Interesting tweak.
Wished there'd been a 5-2-1-3 option though - I always have most trouble
picking bowlers...

They appear to have dropped entries by post this year. I may not enter
in protest. RH

The issue over picking overseas players will be complicated by the
Indian 'Kerry Packer' league.
I think Mushtaq Ahmed is taking part, and he is normally one of my first
choices.

LOL! That's what I'm gonna call it from now on!
Got Playfair today, so should be able to revise my first-draft team...

Get Godleman in there !!

Will be interesting to see if he or Gazzard will get the keeper's gloves
this year at Somerset - Gazzard had a good start to things this year out in
the UAE.
