could say that about hales as well as he was twice out leaving the ball
in the warmups.

actually more worried about our batting, which is a completly different
line up to last summer and UAE. Hales is on debut, and he looks the least
likely of the 8 openers theyve tried to succeed at test level. If he is
to succeed he should play his natural game, since hes supposedly a
destructive batter, but I think Cook outscored both him and Compton in the
warmups.
Also will Bairstow be any better than Buttler as a keeper and a batter?
And Taylor has a big role to play, so a lot of questions. I wish they had
another warmup match before this test so that hales, bairstow and Ali etc
could have got more batting.

yes floods up north and bush fires in oz. but i'd still have our climate
over oz anyday. apparently its wet in durban also.
