What a load of boring old tosh is coming from 'Foxy' this morning on
TMS. I feel like pressing a mute button every time he opens his gob.
Which sadly is all too often. Nice day, though.

Funny that, Bob Willis has the same effect on me watching on Sky. I find
myself drifting off to do other things when he comes on. This morning he
was on for the first half hour, so I kept one eye on the cricket and thr
other on my book. Next time he came on I went and sorted out my ironing,
and as that is my most hated chore, that shows how dire I find him.
Someone somewhere must love him.

There is an expression that springs to mind - " he has a face that only
a mother could love" - except that in this instance it's his voice,
intellect
and personality rather than his face.

Would you consider yourself as an 'average' woman ? If so I'll be buying
any and every audio cassette of the old ginger available ;-)

Depends what you mean by average I guess. Probably not. The average woman
doesn't watch cricket for a start! What will you do with all those tapes ;)

I'll be playing them to my partner in the hope that she'll do the ironing !

I think I would volunteer to do your ironing as well, anything not to have to
listen/watch that!!! But it's ok, don't send it to Oxford will you?

it's seems mad to me that he is always on for the first half-hour...what is
it about Sky Producers that they think Willis droning on in that monotone
way, talking constantly about nothing at all, is going to drag people into
the game? When you combine that with David 'of course I knew all the
answers all along', it's thoroughly irritating...thank God for the
occasional shot into the commentary box to see Botham smirking behind
Gower's inanities...
