Since 1999 McGill Programs in Whole Person Care has served as a research and teaching catalyst for the
development of whole person care at McGill and elsewhere through the publication of research papers,
seminars, film series, a revised medical school curriculum and faculty development. Together with the recently
published book “Whole Person Care: A New Paradigm for the 21st Century” this first Congress on
Whole Person Care can serve to advance and promote a transformation of the healthcare mandate.
