Respect for husbands is not a matter of 'earning' it. But an instruction to do so. Just as respecting parents is an obligatory duty. No matter whether they have earned our respect or not. The rule is as follows for ALL Christian wives......"As the Church submits to Christ, so must wives submit to their own husbands in "EVERYTHING"..... Any argument or defiance in obeying, is both unrighteous and wicked.
