Some do not reject the Truth straight away as Jesus showed in the Parable of the sower.
They gradually fall away for one reason or another....Read it and understand.
I know one brother who finally lost his faith after some 60 years as a believer, a Sunday school teacher for many years, our religious librarian.
He even bought me to Christ some 30 years beforehand.
For as Christ has duly warned it is "He who ENDURES to the END, that will be saved".
