Many Jews Latinised their names, for various reasons. For instance
"Levi" is sometimes Anglicised to "Lewis". Alan Sugar has a name
derived from his grandfathers' line of business, the "Marks" of "Marks
and Spenser" was presumably once a "Marx".
Then in modern conditions rabbis have no real way of enforcing their
rulings. If Jews marry non-Jews then only community pressure, which
varies, is there to stop them, and many will retain some Jewish
identity despite having a non-Jewish spouse.
