As I understand, he is the son of George Cohen who played football for,
amongst others, Engalnd in the World cup of 1966. I believe he also played
for Fulham. At that time the question was considered but I believe it was
answered in th negative. He may well have Jewish blood through his
father's family, but, halachically, no!.

I think there was a Cohen in the 1966 world cup England football
squad too?

Maybe yes, maybe no.
I know a Mr. Cohen who is a "
levi," and a Mr. Levy who is a "cohanim."
Plus my buddy Ralph Israel has never been to that country either.
I read in the JC or LJN a couple of weeks ago that he is George
Cohen's nephew, and there was originaly one Jewish grandfather. The
fraction quoted was that Ben is 1/16 Jewish. And we both know what
that means halachically, don't we?

Jeffrey Smith.

There is nothing quite so beautiful as Ralph in the Spring.
