In transitioning the program name to Academy Futsal, we are taking another step to align these two programs (soccer and futsal) into a holistic annual experience for participants, coaches and families.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Academy soccer and futsal administrators and coaches will work together to create an optimum practice and game schedule for the winter season that integrates futsal play alongside the winter showcase events, especially at the high school age groups where schedules are most conflicted. We aim to create consistency throughout the year for all age groups and retain cohesion with teammates, curriculum, experiences and coaches.</div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div>How will players be evaluated?</div><div></div><div>Academy (futsal and soccer) staff will evaluate players at regularly scheduled Academy soccer training sessions during the first seven weeks of the soccer season, August-October 1st. Players are required to manipulate and master the ball and invade and exploit space in a high-pressure, high-reward environment. Subsequently, futsal is an excellent breeding ground for football competencies that can be translated into the 11-a-side format of the game.</div><div></div><div></div><div>The aim of this study was to provide evidence for specific physiological demands of a futsal time-motion analysis devised progressive and intermittent shuttle-running test (futsal intermittent endurance test [FIET]). Eighteen full-time professional futsal players (age 20.6 +/- 3.1 years, body mass 71.6 +/- 8.5 kg, height 175 +/- 7.9 cm) volunteered to participate in this study. In a random order and on separate days, they performed the FIET and a treadmill test (TM) to assess aerobic fitness. Physiological demands were examined by monitoring exercise heart rates (HRs), O2, and blood-lactate concentration (BLac) during FIET and TM conditions. During the FIET, players covered 1,464 +/- 136 m attaining a mean speed at exhaustion of 16.5 +/- 0.6 km h. The mean FIET duration was of 13.24 +/- 1.13 minutes. Peak O2, HR, and BLac were 95 +/- 6.4, 99 +/- 2, and 108 +/- 25% of treadmill O2max, HRmax, and BLac, respectively. Large correlations were found between speed at ventilatory threshold and maximal speed at O2max with FIET performance (r = 0.60 and 0.61, p What became futsal was developed in 1930s Uruguay by a teacher named Juan Carlos Ceriani, originally to play on a basketball court. In writing the laws he took the five-a-side team sizes and 40-minute match duration from basketball, pitch and goal dimensions from handball, and goalkeeper rules from water polo.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Spain: Won seven men's senior UEFA futsal titles (more than half) as well as two FIFA Futsal World Cups, and the first three European women's championships (run still continuing) and inaugural two men's U19 EUROs.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Dina Moskva (RUS): Nothing to do with Dynamo but spearheaded by that club's future president Konstantin Eremenko, Dina dominated Russian futsal in the 1990s and had much success in the unofficial competitions that preceded the launch of the UEFA Futsal Cup in 2001/02. Reached the UEFA final four in 2014/15.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Schumacher: Nicknamed after the German goalkeeper but a defender in futsal that oozed class, Schumacher helped Brazil win the 2008 World Cup against Spain, where he spent 11 years as a player for Inter, winning three UEFA Futsal Cups.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Ricardinho: 'O Mágico' has a tattoo of Falcão and the Portuguese winger is quite often bracketed with the Brazilian in the futsal pantheon. As a teenager he made his Portugal debut and reached the 2003/04 UEFA Futsal Cup final with Benfica, whom he helped lift the trophy in Lisbon in 2010. After spells in Japan and Russia, he joined Inter in 2013 and aided them to two UEFA Futsal Cup successes in 2017 and 2018, among many other titles. His spectacular tournament showings for Portugal culminated in their UEFA Futsal EURO win of 2018, with Ricardinho the seven-goal top scorer (and as a consquence the new all-time finals top scorer), and then the 2021 World Cup victory in his final international appearance. Having played for France's ACCS from 2020 and 2022, had a spell in Indonesia before joining Riga Futsal Club in 2023 and in his first matches with his new club overtaking André Vanderlei's long-standing record of 54 career UEFA futsal club competition goals.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Ortiz: Another key part of Spain's success with four Futsal EURO titles, as well as UEFA crowns with Inter in 2009, 2017 and 2018. Moved with Ricardinho to ACCS before a 2021 switch to Barça, winning another UEFA Futsal Champions League in his first season. A defender who often rotated with Kike and bowed out of international futsal in 2022 as Spain's most-capped player on 215, and Futsal EURO appearance record holder. Retired in 2023.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Score OKC will host futsal leagues and tournaments throughout the year. A top-class Edmond youth programs facility with four futsal courts, the goal is to provide the best environment for players to thrive in. Futsal is one of the greatest developmental tools as it helps players both quicken their decision-making with the ball at their feet and understand how important their movement off the ball truly is. At a young age, players are challenged to adapt their playing style because of the smaller playing area, fewer players on the field/court, and the intense speed of the game.</div><div></div><div> ffe2fad269</div>
