After spending a weekend afloat on the above, I have to say that I'm really
quite taken with it. My arms, on the other hand, are telling me something
quite different, and that's after operating but twelve locks, half of which
have an electric lower gate...

Agree- I've just done the Nene and its a great waterway- hard work but not
as bad as I had thought as EA are investing heavily and improving locks and
moorings.
