Hi

Least you are honest about your objectives. Try doing a web search
and try THINKING about your project. Much more structured and
developed questions might get you far better answers.

more horses to be lead to the water trough.
Suggest get a better idea how to seek info via computer web sites
that means asking the lecturer to explain a few things to you.

No point asking the lecturers about anything computer or net related if they
let their students post daft questions to u.r.w.

Unfortunately the syllabus actually requries them to use Usenet
in this part of the course. The support materials make explicit
mention of uk.rec.walking and the tutors, being quite unable to
think creatively because they're not actually qulaified to deliver
the courses and don't understand the implciations of the recommendations
they are following, direct the students our way. It's not actually
the students fault, it's the people who wrote the syllabus and the
people who are delivering it.

A far better phrased question than we usually get, it's even got some
punctuation in it. But let me ask you one question, why is it that no
student is ever capable of typing a capital letter? Don't they teach you
about the shift key in college?

College deadline, eh? How long have you got till it's due? You do realise
that most of your coursemates have already been here and done their
research, don't you? They got some rather strange replies, but then that's
what asking stupid questions gets you.
Let me help you. Go to www.google.com and search there for what you need,
then come back to us with a specific question about a route or place.
Trust me, it'll get you a much better response from us than 'i need to know
about hillwalking in scotland' and might even improve your grades.

Nick
P.S. Look at your keyboard. In the bottom left corner is a button marked
Ctrl. Above that is a key marked with Shift or an up-arrow. When you press
that together with a letter key (such as a, s, d, f, g, h, j, k, l, etc) it
makes that letter come out all big (like A, S, D, F, G, H, J, K, L, etc :o).
Try using that when writing a message. It is appreciated, especially with
words like Scotland etc.
