I leaned against the beam to open a lock gate on the Leeds Liverpool canal
and although the paint was dry on the surface but there were a few
drips/runs that were wet underneath the skin (no sign to indicate this I
add).

Try meths, it will clean off most paint but.... the usual warning
...try it somewhere unimportant first.

I have done many things in my life but 'power walking'ain't one of
them.Where I live,if I tried power walking and was seen by any of the
villagers they would visit me armed with an old fashioned elixir to help
clear up my 'bottom problems':-)

This in fact was the advice I got from Berghaus when I did a similar
thing. It worked.
