Regarding the discussion on tent recomendations, people have failed to point
out the most important thing: what do you want it for? If you want a very
good tent for hiking purposes, that is strong, roomy enough for 2 people
carrying with a fair bit of equipment, and light enough to carry in a
rucksack, then I can recommend the TERRA NOVA tents, in particular, the
Trisar. It weighs about 2.7 kg., and has a three pole design. Terra
Nova is a UK company. The tent costs about 260 pounds.
If you are not intending to pack the tent into a rucksack, then perhaps
something bigger and cheaper would be fine.
