Hi folks,

I ordered a "Ajungilak Alaska Sleeping Bag" from :
http://www.servicesports.co.uk/news_20011227a.shtml

Seemed like a bargain, at £32 for a down bag, but it has arrived today
and there is no mention of Ajungilak on the bag. Don't they have
their logo/name on the base of all their bags? I had a look on their
web site, and their is no mention of an "Alaska 750", although it may
be discontinued. There is no label on the bag to say where it was
made, the cover just says "Alaska 750" and the label inside just gives
washing instructions. The guarantee card says to fill it in and post
to: 'Northern Feather Home Furnishings Ltd' in Wigan. No mention
of Ajungilak on that either.

So - have I got a great bargain price on an Ajungilak slleping bag, or
is this another brand and therefore a misleading description on the
service sports web site? Only mention I can find of this bag on the
web is at:
http://www.outdooraction.co.uk/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_Alaska_Sleeping_Bags_69.html
which is £35 - and no mention of a RRP of £90.

Has anybody got one of these 'Alaska 750' sleeping bags and what are
they like?

There is no mention on the bag of a -12C rating either.

This site also has an Ajungilak Nordic Summer sleeping bag for sale which
*does* appear on the Ajungilak website at http://www.ajungilak.no/ however
it's stats aren't quite the same (slightly different temp rating, weight,
etc.).

The Alaska bag on the Outdoor Action site isn't likely to be from Ajungilak.

It seems either you or the supplier (or both) is on the wrong end of a bum
deal judging by the product description, but if you don't like it you can
always send it back for a full refund - assuming that part of the Service
Sports' website is correct!

It seems to meet that this could be another case of a retailer ripping off the general
public. I feel sure that Ajungilak UK would be very interested to hear from you.

Good point. According to their website they make down clothing but not
bags. BTW their Denali bag is rated at -55°C!!!

They certainly don't make a bag called the Alaska.

Contact them at ma...@ajungilak.no

Tiso's in Glasgow are selling them.
They were far too busy when I was in there on Saturday for me to start
asking casual questions, but Tiso is by no means a company I would
associate with a rip-off.
