I just finished miss Campbells impressing "Her own story" and was
wondering what she's doing nowadays. I found out, thats living in Devon,
and gives lectures in preventing blisters. But I can't believe that
that's her whole life now. So I was wondering if any of you has more
information e.g. is she planning new walks, is she back in the financial
world ? Or is she really retired ?
And has she been scratched from the Guiness book of records ?
(my opinion is, that it wouldn't be right, since she walked it all,
in the end. If not from John o' Groats to John o' Groats, then from
some little place in Texas to that little place in Texas. But I suppose
that's a past discussion in Britain).
Thanks,

Dunno, but IMO, it'd be nice to think that the spoilt brat was doing
something useful for once. Let's face it, walking isn't difficult, just
time consuming. Mountain leaders and guides, for example, are doing
just the same amount of walking as Miss C., except that it's often in
harsher conditions and they do it without someone else lugging their
backpacks and following them as backup. The only exceptional thing
about Miss Campbell was that she had the resources to go where she
wanted to go, and she didn't even do that honestly.
Gavin (who, if you hadn't gathered isn't impressed with the lass)
Sshe's pprobably jjust rresting.

Ffffyona dropped quite a few unsubtle hints about wanting to be
snapped up by some high-paying financial institution, if I recall correctly.
I'd like to believe that she's now working for the RSPCA, helping
mules and donkeys which have suffered cruel treatment.
Is anyone who has managed to plough through all of her books (fact or
fiction) able to tell me about her various back-up drivers/
assistants. Were there any with whom she didn't,
i] ff...sleep with
ii] then fall out with??
