Just a quick request for sites to give some beginners practice. This is prior
to a trip to Snowdonia (taster session). Peaks are the closest area to Norfolk
unless anyone knows any different.

Kinder.
Crowden Brook (g1)
North branch of Grindsbrook (prepare to get wet feet), start GR 107872 (g1)

Any more from anyone else? And there must be some on Bleaklow.

Roaches.
Between the climbs Heather Slab and Capitol Climb on the upper tier there is
some easier scrambling ground. Plus other various lines - pick your own. The
same applies to a lot of the 'edges'. Not long, but you can go up and down a
lot of small ones.

*The* best area for scrambling in the Peaks is The Roaches. Lots
of stuff of varying grade.

One of the best areas for bouldering (slightly different) is above
Froggatt Edge.

You could try Wildboar and Torside clough on the northside of
Bleaklow. I don't have the grid refs here with me now, but they're
both just a short walk from the Torside visitors Centre. Again,
be prepared to get wet feet as they're both cut through to hillside
by streams.

Steve.
