Airspeed is happy to announce the successful completion of our 19th and 20th
Tunnel Camps. Campers from Japan, Switzerland, Brazil, Portugal, Russia,
England, and the United States flew over 76 hours in 7 days. Pictures are
posted at www.tunnelcamp.com.

At this camp, we tested the TunnelCamp.com Direct Digital Video Prep and
Debrief System. This combination of computers, cameras, monitors and
high-speed network allowed us to record each campers' flight sessions to
disk and to play them back instantly at another location. With the high-end
Canopus hardware and software, we were able to jump to any point in any
flight without wasting time rewinding or cuing tape. During debrief, we used
the crystal-clear playback to demonstrate exactly what each student did well
and what each needed to improve. It saved us a ton of time over the course
of each day and made the debriefs more effective.

The system was still more valuable during the prep sessions. We used it to
show campers the previously recorded video of an Airspeed instructor
demonstrating each skill in the TunnelCamp.com curriculum. With the
frame-accurate slow motion and picture-perfect freeze frame we can now (1)
DESCRIBE the skill a camper is about to perform, (2) SHOW them precisely
what they are supposed to do, and (3) PRACTICE the skill on the creepers
before we even set foot in the tunnel. The overall system was quite
expensive but we felt the investment worthwhile given the value it adds to
each students' training time in the tunnel. Once we have shown you clear
images of exactly what you are supposed to do, we needn't spend tunnel time
(your tunnel time) showing you again in the chamber.

The test was an overwhelming success and we intend to deploy the full system
by camps 21 and 22 in March (which are, incidentally both full). Camp 24 in
April is also full but we do have 9 slots available in camp 23, April 13-15.
If you are interested, please go to www.tunnelcamp.com to get details and
reserve your slot today.

We also have slots available in the March Skills camp in Eloy. For
additional information please contact Dan BC at d...@airspeed.org.

Thanks,
Airspeed & TunnelCamp.com
