Target shooting in Central London

Hi,
I'd like to join a shooting club in Central London preferably in the City.
I'm a beginner but I'd like to learn this sport. I do prefer pistol rather than riffle.
Anyone knows a club?

Pistol, no chance. They are illegal.
Air-pistol, then yes, but very few Clubs are close by, Lee (Lea?) Valley
have an active airgun section.

Rifle, no idea if there are any indoor clubs in London, but I doubt it.
Bisley is the HQ for small bore shooting, Dartford has a range, and
others are dotted around the periphery of Greater London.

A phone call/ email to the National Smallbore Rifle Assn. will probably
be the best thing:

A LBR (long-barrelled revolver) or LBP (L-B pistol) isn't. And you can also
get muzzle-loading revolvers (which can have shorter barrels)!

Pistol shooting is just about impossible in England, Scotland and Wales.
It *is* possible in the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland, and you
can still shoot black powder pistols throughout the UK - but not, AFAIK,
in London.

Ask the Met Police - they have a club in central London, but I expect
you'd be restricted to a rifle *if* they could be persuaded to let you in...
