Again I awoke this morning thinking, "Gawd! I'm still here!"

Most of my mates have long since gawn before me.

After my lifelong wild lifestyle I never expected to reach the 21st
Century, let alone my 80s.

But, yes, I'm still here, and contributing a little bit here and there
as I am able.

It worries me that each day seems to last about 10 minutes.

I mean it was Christmas yesterday and now it's almost Easter, already!

I have decided that all we can do is make the most of what time and
energy we have left. There isn't much of either. So in 2024 we are going
exploring and defying, Scotland, the islands, and Ireland, hopefully.

Two strokes, a heart attack, DVTs, and immobility x2 between us. The X^5
and me. Two fingers up to the world. Be nice to us, we'll be nice to you.

And so, the slogan on the front of our ancient Hymer towing a trailer
containing two mobility scootererers is probably going to be:-

DEATH DODGERS!

Maybe I should start a blog (Whatever that is).

You certainly should, especially if you plan on taking pictures with the
drone!

Nice caravan club site at Culzean castle near me. It is at the top of the
hill above the castle but assuming your scooters have a reasonable range
there are plenty of scooterable paths. (Although admittedly some can be a
bit muddy.)

There's an idea !
A lot of the google maps photo-sphere panoramic images
are now taken with drones.
1 example below, near Culzean,
if the shortened link works :

Many of the older hand-held pans
show photographic defects / artifacts.

misfortunately, it doesn't here ... takes me somewhere on

Do an on location podcast. Bound to be some interesting sounds. I had my
first TIA a few weeks ago, and jolly frightening, luckily only some pins and
needles in a lip a hand and a foot.

Every day is a bonus, Brian.

I could probably do a weekly on-air hour prog through our radio station
of compiled podcasts under the title of summat like 'Uncle Tone's
Escapades', recordings of which could be uploaded for posterior.

But the suggestion of using the drone for a blog appeals too. I
visualise parking in a camp site and flying the drone, having a look
around at what might be worth a visit nearby on the scootererers. I do
have a decent video camera, but I reckon a webcam mounted on the front
of a scooterer could get some interesting edited results too.

Of course this all deep ends on health, but I'm working on that.

Saw a specialist nurse today about my breathing probs.

She was inspirational.

Several breathing tests done. Not asthmatic.

Computer says my lungs are only working at 50% capacity, due to my
smoking up to 1977 !! (Boodly naval Blue Liner duty frees!) Covid
probably made it worse. I'm getting an inhaler that 'will be life
changing!' she said.

Prescribed at 1pm. Delivered from my farm icy at 3pm! Howzat for service?

Having been largely depressed due to poor health for a couple of months,
I now feel more motivated.

We're still here! Make the most of it!

'DEATH DODGERS!'. The more I think about that on the front of the Hymer,
the more I like it!

Must find a local sign writer.

Bleedin' incredible.
We spent 40 minutes in our Chemist's trying to collect SWMBO's
prescription[1] (which had been issued by the surgery and sent over to
the pharmacy a week prior).
After 40 minutes, we still only got 85% of the things required, & so we
have to go back again.

[1] Not (this time) because there was a massive queue in the shop.
