I have two areas of damage on my body (due to accidents with motor
cycles and model aircraft respectively) where feeling has never fully
returned.
Thankfully nowhere really important. :)

30+ years post bike crash hasn't got feeling back into my knee.
I had a patch on my knee, after a motor cycle crash, which when touched
made it feel as if somewhere adjacent was being touched. This lasted
for about 20 years, I suppose; it's perfectly normal now, but I don't
recall having noticed the effect for some several of your earth years.
I'd almost forgotten about it until your post.

Normally, I can't stand hypocrisy, but I'm prepared to make an exception
in my own case.
Mmm - I had almost given up after something like four years of weird leg
sensations when things went back to normal, with a bout of really nasty
eczema of all things.

I did to cause it now) it stayed that way for quite a few months, but

As a personal aside that gives me hope.
I've had, and continue to have, unpleasant and often painful sensations
in my left forearm and hand since I was assaulted last August.
Each day that goes by I pray for a return to normality and the death of
the nefrubyr who injured me.
